Ginseng Fig (Ficus microcarpa) prefers a bright position, ideally by a south-facing window. It can also cope with periods of lower light levels, but will lose leaves during the winter months if it does not get sufficient light.
Let the potting medium dry out somewhat between watering. During the winter months, watering once a week will be just right. Water more frequently during the summer period, but the need for watering will vary depending on the temperature and light conditions.
Consider adding a low concentration of fertilizer during the summer months.
If the plant is growing too strongly, prune the shoots. This is best done in the spring period. After pruning, new shoots will develop, and the plant will become more bushy and full.
Tolerate temperatures from 10 to 30°C.
